Statement of Faith

STATEMENT OF FAITH
We believe the whole Bible to be the inspired, inerrant Word of God, (authoritative for daily life) without error in the original writings.  Therefore, we emphasize the exposition of God's Word from Genesis to Revelation, line upon line, precept upon precept.
We believe there is one God, infinite, eternal, and immutable.  He is the Creator, Sustainer, and governor of all things.  He exists in three persons:  Father, Son and Holy Spirit, equal in power and glory.
We believe in:  the Lord Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God who became man, without ceasing to be God; His Virgin Birth; His Sinless Life; His Miracles; His Substitutionary, Vicarious and Atoning Death for our sins; His Bodily Resurrection, Ascension to the right hand of the Father, and His personal return in power and glory.
We believe that all men are sinners by nature and by practice, being alienated from God; man is unable to remedy his lost condition in and of himself.
We believe that salvation is the gift of God brought to man by grace.  We believe that regeneration by the Holy Spirit is essential, and that repentance from sin and personal trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior is the only way to enter a relationship with God.  Those who have so trusted Christ are indwelt by the Holy Spirit and enabled to live a Godly life through submission to him.
We believe that the Holy Spirit is a person.  He is God and possesses all the divine attributes.  He indwells all Believers, baptizes, imparts gifts as He wills, and fills them in response to confession of sin and yieldedness.  We believe His power and gifts are available today.
We believe unconfessed sin and an unrepentant heart brings interruption in fellowship with God, bringing the loving discipline of the Heavenly Father.
We believe in the church of Jesus Christ as the body of True Believers Universal, called out by the Holy Spirit, espoused to be the Bride of Christ.  Christ is the head of the Church, and all who are born again are members.  We believe the Rapture of the Church will take place prior to the Tribulation.
We believe in the personal, imminent, and premillenial return of Jesus Christ to establish His Kingdom.
We believe in the bodily resurrection of both the saved and the lost—they who are saved unto the resurrection of life (a literal Heaven), and they who are lost unto the resurrection of damnation (a literal Hell).
We believe it is important to uphold the scriptural practices of the early church. Therefore, we hold to the practice of water baptism and the regular taking of Communion. We do not believe that either of these practices is essential for salvation, but that they serve as a demonstration of our living faith in Christ.
